Meet Shawn
Healing begins with feeling safe, seen, and supported.
Shawn offers trauma-informed, calm, thoughtful approach to healing, blending therapeutic experience with evidence-based movement practices and vibrational sound therapy.
Whether you are navigating stress, trauma, life transitions, or simply longing for deeper balance, you are welcomed exactly as you are. Gentle Spirit Connection is a space where your stress can soften, your nervous system can settle, and meaningful change becomes possible.
Experience & Training
With a professional background as a therapist and yoga teacher, Shawn founded Gentle Spirit Yoga — now Gentle Spirit Connection — from a belief that healing happens not only through understanding the mind, but also through reconnecting with the body.
As a Trauma-Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (TCTSY-F), Shawn offers evidence-based sessions centered on body awareness and personal choice. Participants are invited to notice sensations, explore movement or stillness, in ways that feel accessible and supportive.
As a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), Shawn provides individualized sessions designed to support emotional regulation, improved sleep, stress reduction, and reconnection with the body through personalized movement, meditation, and breathwork.
As a Certified Vibrational Sound Therapy Practitioner, these sessions are also approached through a trauma-informed lens. Together, your goals, comfort preferences, and bowl placement are discussed prior to the session, allowing sound and vibration to support grounding, restoration, and deep rest.

What to Expect Working Together
No two people arrive with the same story — or the same needs.
Working together begins with listening. Shawn collaborates with you to create individualized sessions shaped by your goals, comfort preferences, and personal pace. Grounded in trauma-informed principles, each experience prioritizes your choice, your sense of safety, and your curiosity, allowing support to unfold in ways that feel respectful and sustainable.
Session available include Trauma-Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga, individualized Yoga Therapy practices, meditation, Yoga Nidra, breathwork, and Vibrational Sound Therapy — always guided by what feels most supportive for you in the moment.
Together, our work may support:
Nervous system regulation and stress relief
Emotional resilience and grounding
Recovery from burnout, secondary trauma, or life transitions
Improved sleep and restorative rest
Reconnection with the body and a deeper sense of wellbeing
There is no expectation to achieve or perform.
You may be invited to move gently, rest comfortably, or simply notice your breath — allowing your nervous system to settle naturally and at its own pace.
No prior experience is needed. Only a willingness to arrive as you are.
This is a space for curiosity, restoration, and meaningful reconnection.
My work focuses on helping people reconnect with themselves — especially those who carry a great deal for others. Caregivers, professionals, and individuals navigating stress or trauma often need spaces where they can slow down without pressure or expectation.
Healing begins when the nervous system feels safe enough to soften, breathe, and reconnect.
